The North Shinty Club is currently the baby of English Shinty having been formed in 2015. They were visited by Oxford Shinty Club for their first match in the June 2015 where they lost. Though a month later they won their first game against Camborne School of Mines who are the student team in Cornwall. 

They made their competitive debut in the ESA Tri-Series where they hosted the first leg. The North manged to recruit some experienced Scottish free agents living in the Midlands and the North of England. Despite holding London to a draw in Oxford before the final game in the Tri-Series adding fuel that they could beat one of the biggest teams in England to be crowned the first ever Tri-Series champions but it wasn't to be London won.
